The Age of the Sea farers and the Vikings of Scandinavia
The ancient Black dragon with a Vikingboat - Norse Mythology.
Norse mythology was born in proto-Norse culture.
The Indo-European ancient Scandinavian mythological roots are found in the Eddas from Iceland, the Ynglinga Saga and Heimskringla from Norway, and the Gesta Danorum of Denmark. These basic texts were in turn created from oral traditions of a more ancient time.
Norse mythology was further influenced by the myths of the Germanic regions of Europe. Further development of the modern traditions was found in the Viking Age, where romantic traditions of exploration, conquest and settlement influenced modern popular culture and literature. In the later Christianization of the area, some ancient traditions continued on, including the belief that the Christian deities were actual historical figures.
Dragons in Norse Mythology
Dragons are a central part of Norse mythology, as are those who battle them. In Norse mythology, a few different dragons are identified. The Edda’s Völuspá tells of the creation of the world and its coming end. Here the being NíðhöggrOld Norse is dreki) or Nidhogg who chews at the roots of the cosmic tree is identified as a dragon (dragon in The Midgard Serpent, or Jörmungandr, also known as Jormungand, is described in the Prose Edda as a giant, venomous serpent of the mortal realm The Volsung cycle in the Poetic Edda describes Fáfnir as a dwarf turned into a dragon because of his greed The Gesta Danorum contains a description of a dragon killed by the Danish king, Frotho Viking Mythology The Vikings believed in this structure of their universe to be the nine worlds and in the great cosmic tree, Yggdrasil, which held all things together. Norse mythology taught that dragons were under the ground and at the bottom of the ocean. To the Norse, dragons and serpents were the same creatures and not differentiated. Viking mythology is largely based on tales of the sea as they were seafarers, and dragons were commonly found in many aspects of their lives. Dragon images and carvings have been found in many archaeological sites as part of Viking decorations and ornaments. Dragons were often carved on the bows of ships to protect the seafarers. These sea-serpents were symbolic of the Viking prowess, and were used to heighten the berserkers sense of self, and to frighten potential opponents. The dragons on the bows of their ships were also believed to scare away the serpents in the depths of the ocean. Thor Battles the Dragon Thor is the strongest of the Aesir gods who live in Asgard. He is the god of thunder and is represented by a hammer. In one tale Thor battled a great dragon which he pulled out of the depths of the ocean. After a mighty ontest, the dragon was still alive, but sunk back into the sea. The dragon in the sea that even Thor could not vanquish is responsible for storms and the threatening conditions for the seafaring Vikings.
Beowulf of the Scandinavian Dragon Tradition Beowulf
The Old English heroic epic poem written between the 8th and 11th centuries, tells of Beowulf's battles with the monsters (dragons) Grendel and his mother during the late 5th century. Beowulf is from the Geat tribe of Scandinavia and the tale has mixed historical and fictional features. The Serpents Trail
Dan will be a serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horse's heels, so that it's rider tumbles backward. They left trails in names of lands and cities in their path as amsterDAM, DANmark, SweDEN, DANube etc..
"Dan is the SERPENT Tribe that leaves a trail in their path and bithet the horses heals so the rider falls backwards" Nashhash! which means serpent or dragon translated from hebrew, hence why we northmen had dragonheads/serpentheads on our norse dragonships, we are these sea people.

Nine Worlds of Norse Mythology
There are nine worlds in the Nordic cosmology, with Asgard being a world of the main gods at the top. In Asgard, Odin and his wife Frigg rule.
These nine worlds are: Midgard, world of average human experience, Álfheimr, world of the Álfar or elves. Svartálfaheim, world of the Svartálfar (black elves) Vanaheimr, world of the Vanir, secondary group of gods, or wisdom deities able to see the future and influence fertility Muspellheim, world of fire Jötunheimr, world of the jötnar, or nature spirits, sometimes giants, superhuman in strength and hideous in appearance, later known as trolls Niflheim, world of ice Asgard, world of the Æsir, or place of the principal group of gods Hel, world of the Niðavellir , or the netherworld.
The Norse nine worlds are connected by Yggdrasil, a giant tree which reaches through the worlds to Asgard at its top. Gnawing at the roots of the world tree in Niflheim is Nidhogg, a ferocious serpent or dragon.

" Who was the Vikings of Scandinavia? "
An excerp from the book about my ancestors with the same title i am writing.
The Vikings were venturesome seafarers, warriors, merchants and later also known as looters/raiders from Scandinavia who spread through Europe and the North Atlantic in the period of vigorous Scandinavian expansion (AD 800-1100) known as the Viking Age. From Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, they appeared as traders, conquerors, and settlers in Finland, Russia, Byzantium, France, England, the Netherlands, Iceland, and Greenland, in fact whole Europe did they conquer. Their artwork, religion and history features dragons richly throughout.
The word viking means to go pirating. But many that is called vikings today in history books was not actually this, they was just farmers and merchants /traders that went near and far to trade their handcraft and fur they created eigther trough by exchange their goods to other things they needed. They was good craftsmen in many things especially juwellery and weapons.
It was not until late 1100 that some of the northmen started to pirating and the modern word today we use by calling them all vikings rose up for an naming of these people because of their deeds and they had an reason for it, the new religion that rose up towards them and threathned their culture, belifs and riches. BUT we shall have in mind still that not all was these brutes and pirates, there was actually people that also was peaceful of these people....
For many centuries before the year 800, such tribes as the Cimbrians/cumbrians, Gauls, Gaels, Goths, Vandals, Burgundians, and Angles more known as Germanic and Celtic tribes today in history books that had been wandering out of Scandinavia wich is also known today as Viking kins clans of same decent Normans/Rurich/Rurik linages. (know these people was related to each other when they enterd the north from the lands of far east where they travelled from Ur in Eurasia/Euroasia then for 2000 years ago from the tribes of Israel, they just settled on different places in whole europe after their immigration from the east and created own clans still tho they are originated of the same people/family) known as Dan/Tuatha de Danann/Dana/Danu/Tribe of Goddess Danu/Dann/Dannites/Danites of the tribe of Judah. (The 10 tribes that went north) These people are known as the ancient ones, or the old ones. Their history of their bloodlines can even be dated back in geneology to the Egyptians of Pharao/King Tut and Tamara of Judah so Princess Scota and also to the Schytians and the sea people of the Phonecians. The Vikings were very different from other civilisations since they was sea warriors and merchants and because they carried with them a civilization that was in some ways more highly developed than those of the lands they visited.
Scandinavia was rich in iron, which seems to have stimulated Viking cultural development.
Just take their boats for example that could travel the globe around without any problems wich was unique for that time, it was during that time like having an hi tech ship. They made their own blacksmithing as Iron tools and weapons and by that they could cleared up the forests and plowed the lands and Conquer new lands wich leads them also to a great increase in population and also wealth.
Trading cities such as Birka In Sweden and Hedeby in Denmark appeared and became the centers of strong local kingdoms and trading.
The Viking ship, with its flexible hull and its keel and sail, was far superior to the overgrown rowboats still used by other peoples. Kings wich are chieftains for their tribe/clan were buried in their ships with an maiden that was his slave woman that they scarificed with him, and the rich grave goods of these and other burial sites testify to the technical expertise of the Vikings in working with pottery, weapons, textiles, Bronze, stone, gold and silver, and especially iron/blacksmitthing and wood and copper.
The graves also contained Arab silver, Byzantine silks, Frankish weapons, Rhenish glass, and other products thats showes of an extensive trade in the east and south wards. In particular, the silver kufic (or cufic) coins that flowed into the Viking lands from the caliphate further stimulated economic growth.
Viking civilization flourished with its SKALDIC LITERATURE and eddic poetry, its runic inscriptions, its towns and markets, and, most of all, its ability to organize its people under law and order to achieve a common task--such as an invasion from enemies. The vikings was known for their fortifying defence around their towns and houses where it was built upon an big hill of dirt they eigter dugged themselfs before building its fortress or an natural high hill. This for making it harder for the enemies to attack their towns and living grounds. Today theses ppl belongs trough DNA research by genetics to the Arayan race, The Nordic race also known as Germanic people.
Expansion was apparently propelled by the search for new trading opportunities and new areas in which to settle now lands for the fast growing population and creating new kingdoms for their families. By the end of the 8th century, Swedish Vikings were already in the lands around the Gulf of Finland and in Russia, Danish Vikings were establishing themselves along the Dutch coast, and Norwegian Vikings of swedish decent had colonized the Orkney and Shetland islands.
During 800 the first christianistation of the vikings started by Saint Ansgar, Anskar or Oscar, (September 8, 801 – February 3, 865, in Bremen) he was an "Archbishop of Hamburg-Bremen". The see of Hamburg was designated a "Mission to bring Christianity to the North," and Ansgar became known as the "Apostle of the North" and are today seen as an Saint by the Roman Catholic church"
During the 9th century they expanded beyond these three bases, arriving first as rapacious raiders (looting the treasures of monasteries, for example, and capturing slaves for sale in the Middle East, All this because of their hate of the church that tried to interfear in their lifes to long they took revenge in this way) but soon they did establishing themselves on a more permanent basis.
Swedes was called Rus Vikings or Varangians/Varangian Vikings decent of Swedish Rurich/Rurik/Röerik/Röerich of Birka established fortified cities at Novgorod more known as The Varangian name of the city Holmgård/Holmgard (Holmgarðr or Holmgarðir) is mentioned in Norse Sagas as existing at a yet earlier stage, but in this case historical facts are difficult to untangle from legend.
Originally, Holmgård referred only to the stronghold southeast of the present-day city, Ryurikovo Gorodishche (named in comparatively modern times after the Varangian chieftain Rurik, who supposedly made it his "capital" around 860).
In those days and then at Kiev, creating the first Russian state, and traded down the great rivers of Russia to Byzantium and Persia.
Archeological data suggests that the Gorodishche, the residence of the Knyaz (prince), dates from the mid-9th century, whereas the town itself dates only from the end of the 10th century; hence the name Novgorod, "new city", from Old Russian Новъ and Городъ (Nov and Gorod), although German and Scandinavian historiography suggests the Old Norse term Nýgarðr, or the Old High German term Naugard. First mention of this Nordic or Germanic etymology to the name of the city of Novgorod (and that of other cities within the territory of the then "Kievan Rus'" occurs in the 10th-century policy manual De Administrando Imperio by Byzantine emperor Constantine VII.
Slightly predating the chronology of the legend of Rurik (which dates the first Norse arrival in the region around 858-860), an earlier record for the Scandinavian settlement of the region is found in the Annales Bertiniani (written up until 882) where a Rus' delegation is mentioned as having visited Constantinople in 838, and, intending to return to the Rus' Khaganate via the Baltic Sea, were questioned by Frankish Emperor Louis the Pious at Ingelheim am Rhein, where they said that although their origin was Swedish, they had settled in Northern Russia under a leader who they designated as chacanus (the Latin form of Khagan, a title they had likely borrowed from contact with the Avars and means Emperor and is diverted from kahn wich also means Ceasar wich became in russian name later Tzar/Tcar/Tsar) .
The Rurich/Rurik Norwegian Vikings established their kingdoms in Ireland, where they founded Dublin about 840, and in northwestern England.
They settled Iceland and colonized Greenland in the 10th century and found North America and made the settlement there and founded the short-lived North American colony called in that day by the vikings as VINLAND in the early 11th century.

Great armies of Danes and Norwegians conquered the area called the DANELAW in England, overthrowing all the
Anglo-Saxon kingdoms except King Alfred's Wessex. They attacked cities in France, Germany, the Low Countries, and Spain and, in 911, seized control of Normandy in France where the name Normandy came from NORMANdy, where their descendants became known as the Rus varangian vikings known as the NORMANS wich means men from the North, hence the name NORMANdy also known as danes and swedes, finns, russian, Norwegian vikings. (Know the Norwegian and Dannish kings is same decents as the Rurich clan and is written about in the cronicle of Nestor the cronicler, an russian monk about how Russia was created by the men from north.)
After conquering and settling foreign lands, the Vikings came under the cultural influence of the conquered peoples. Originally pagan worshipers of Thor and Odin, as well as they mixed it with the greek patheon later since it is the same gods (i.e.See Boyars in Russia Finland decents of the Rus vikings and the history of Vlad the Impaler in Romania) and many became Christians, and during the 10th century they brought Christianity back to Scandinavia.
The process of conquest slackened during the 10th century as civil wars raged in Scandinavia. Out of these wars emerged powerful new kingdoms with great new fortresses, including TRELLEBORG in SWEDEN. Soon armies of a renewed Viking age were sailing forth.
In 1013, SWEYN also known as Sweyn I Forkbeard Old Norse: Sveinn Tjúguskegg of Denmark and England conquered all of England. His name appears as Swegen in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle. He was the son of King Harald Bluetooth of Denmark. He was the father of Cnut the Great or Canute . His son, CANUTE (Cnut the Great), Knut in Swedish.
, built an empire that included Denmark, England, Norway and parts of Sweden.
In the mid 980s Sweyn/Swegen revolted against his father Harald Bluetooth and seized the throne from his father. Harold was driven by his son into exile and died shortly afterwards in November 986 or 987. In 1000, with allegiance of the Trondejarl, Eric of Lade, he was ruler over most of Norway. After a long effort at conquest, and shortly before his death, in 1013 Sweyn father of Canute/Cnut became the first of the Danish Kings of England.
By the second half of the 11th century, however, the emergence of stronger political systems and stronger armies in Europe, the development of new types of ships, and the redirection of military endeavor by the Crusades brought the Viking Age to an end. So the very Christianity they converted to in trust, brought about the end of their whole civilization, and their loved and worshipped dragon became a creature of "evil" to the Kristian and Catholic Church.
SWEDISH VIKING HISTORY OF CHRISTIANIZING OF SWEDEN
Ansgar or also known as Saint Ansgar, born 8 or 9 september 801, died February 3 865 in Bremen, was a German Benedictine monk, missionary, Archbishop of Hamburg-Bremen, which then also included the Nordic countries. This man was later canonised. He also called Nordic apostle. Ansgar's biography was written by his successor as archbishop, Rimbert, the White Anskarii.
Ansgar's mother died when he was only five years old. Shortly after his father left him as a Benedictine oblate to Corbie on the Somme east of Amiens. From there he was sent to the new monastery Corvey in Saxony at its founding in 822nd
Year 826 was renamed the Danish king Harald 'Klak' Halfdan son into the Christian creed and prayed missionary Ansgar to help the Danish king's desire for Christian people. Harald 'Klak' Halfdan son (c. 785 - c 852) was a king in Jutland (and possibly other parts of Denmark) around 812-814 and again from 819-827. Ansgar then went voluntarily to Denmark for this mission.
Ansgar went from Cologne by boat across the Rhine past Dorestad and Friesland. But Harald 'Klak' Halfdan son's position as king of Denmark was not strong in Denmark and therefore stayed Ansgar south of the Elbe instead where he opened a Christian monastic school for Danish boys.
(Harald Klak was Swedish born and came from Skåne in Sweden but became Danish KINGLET in Jutland, Denmark during different periods 812-827. Harald Klak was the son of Halfdan, who in 807 had entrusted to Charlemagne. According to legend, he also Having lived in the area around the village Klagstorp Skåne in Sweden which is said to be named after him.
Harald and his brothers became king after faith battles that followed the assassination of Godfred 810 years, but he was expelled 813 years of Godfreds sons following year, he confided to Louis the Pious. In 815 sounded Louis Saxons and obodriter implement an invasion of Denmark, but Godfreds sons managed to avoid a direct confrontation, and Harald had to wait in exile in Saxony. Year 819 was a new attempt, and now Harold accepted as par linjal ruler two of Godfreds sons, while two others fled the country. Three years later traveled Ebo of Reims up to Denmark to proselytize.
Harold was baptized 826 in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. "In the summer of 826, a Danish king named Harald Klak sailing up the Rhine with his family. Emperor Louis the Pious, has persuaded him to be baptized and is personally sponsor at baptism, which takes place in Mainz during the ceremony." Empress Judith was godmother to Harald's wife, and the Crown Prince Lothar I was the sponsor for Harald's son, Godfred. Harald returned to Denmark with Ansgar in his entourage, but was expelled the following year, again by Godfreds sons. He settled in Rüstringen, county between Weser and Ems, which he had received in loans by the emperor. After 829 there is silence about Harald.
According to a task died on Swedish kin Harald about the 840th After 840 there is a Harold (died before 850) in the sources is the brother of Rörik / Rorik / Rurich / Roerich. Some researchers have identified Rurich with Harald Klak, both of Swedish origin but probably these two brothers were nephews not brothers. It is possible that Harald Klak was slew year 852 by Harald's nobles of the Franks by Louis the Pious in the Germans kingdom, because of suspected involvement with the Danes.)
In 829 visited Louis the Pious or sometimes Louis the lovable but more known as Louis I of Franconia, Caroline Emperor born 778, died 20 June 840, Frankish king, Holy Roman Emperor 813-840 of two envoys from Sweden, the visitors were deeply christian King Harald heel of Jutland / Denmark and his men. Those invited Louis to that there were several in their native Sweden who wanted to move to the Christian faith, therefore appointed Louis now Ansgar to spread the faith. So in the same year 829 went Ansgar and his aides monk Witmar came with a convoy of merchants, but midway they were assaulted by Viking pirates, and they got to Birka on foot then by boat from the mainland over to Birka town in Lake Mälaren. It formed a small congregation with Birka captain Hergeir as the primary name. In Birka Ansgar preached Christianity around 829-831. As king of Björkö listed for this time bear in Ansgarsvitan. The success was modest attempt Christians the Swedish people and the invitation to Birka should probably be regarded as a kind gesture instead to the deeply Christian Emperor Louis and Danish / Swedish king of Jutland in Denmark. The population was not so interested in becoming a Christian, and it took until the 1200's before they got the Swedes to give in, that through violent revolt against the Church and those Christians who tried to end forcing the Swedish population being Christians and waive his asa faith.
For unknown reasons, the Christian church in Birka later conflict with the pagan population, and the Christian church community of Birka was subsequently dissolved. Many bloody battles was made both abroad and in Sweden against Christian and Benedictine monastries and churches which is now known as Catholic monks. Ansgar was thus forced to return to Birka in the early 850's to try to restore the church but seems to without result.
After Ansgar had returned from Scandinavia, he was appointed to the 831 bishops of the newly established Archdiocese of Hamburg. Due to internal conflicts weakened Frankish. After Louis' death ravaged the Danish king Harik in Hamburg 845, and this outpost was abandoned as episcopal see. The diocese merged with Bremen, who became bishop Ansgar's new headquarters.
Approximately 851-853 Ansgar returned to Birka, where now King Olaf instead ruled over Birka after King Björn. At this time, the situation of the Christian missionary activity have deteriorated and the battles between church and Gentiles were bloody. The Christian church in Birka had come into conflict with the pagan population and had been dissolved. Ansgar was therefore obliged to restore the church.
Two bells were sent to Birka by the Abbot of Fulda of Germany (died 856), but we do not know if they were used. Probably not, because they have never been recovered during excavations in Birka.
Ansgar Memorial (also called Ansgar Cross) is a famous landmark at Birka today. A stone cross traveled to Ansgar's memory was erected in 1834 on Björkö, Ekerö where Birka was once. The cross stands erected on Castle mountain crest, inside the ancient castle at Birka on Björkö. Design as a Celtic cross was misleading, because it associates to the later missionaries from the British Isles, Ansgar's "competitors" that Christian the Scandinavians.
Although Ansgar was the first known missionary in Sweden, and several graves with Christian crosses was found in Birka during excavations of the large grave yards of Birka wich is the largest in Sweden of viking graves, is considered his work today not to have had any lasting impact on Sweden's Christian spirit. Archbishop Unni of Hamburg found no trace of Ansgar church during his visit to Birka in the 935th
The long fought the Vikings against the church to try to Christians they and the church had great difficulty with the Vikings from the north who burned down, stole and raped people because of their hatred towards the Church's attempt to impose their religion and beliefs and change their way of life that was not in association with the laws of nature, which the Vikings considered falsehood. hatred was also built on the church took their offering sites and built churches in these places and forced their people from these holy places as the Vikings had in generations.
Rimberts monk to Ansgar
There is hardly any Swedish not know Ansgar was Sweden's first missionary. But how many have actually read the book on Rimberts Ansgar? Through the excellent translation and interpretation of this manuscript, which was published in 1986, it is actually possible to almost follow in detail this remarkable man's life story. It was Rimbert the year 865 AD succeeded Ansgar the Archbishop of Bremen. By Paper on Ansgar's life has invaluable knowledge of the Nordic countries in the 800s survived to our day. To write Rimbert of his predecessor's first visit to Sweden:
"They happened to the Viking pirates, when they had got about halfway. The merchants who were on the trip defended themselves bravely and was first over the hand, but in the end they were still defeated by pirates, so they were deprived of the ships and all that they had and the barely managed to get ashore and escape on foot . In this way, they lost the gifts from the emperor that they would have had with him to the Swedes. Among other things, they lost nearly forty books, which they had collected for the service but now fell into the hands of robbers. "
"With great difficulty, they took themselves then on foot a very long distance, and occasionally, where it was suitable on the boat over water that lay in their path. Finally, they reached a port city in Swedes kingdom called Birka. There was they kindly received by the country's king, named Bear, and his envoy explained the purpose for which the strangers had come. "
"When the king had learned of their mission, he discussed the matter with his men and gave them with everyone's consent allowed to stay there and preach the gospel of Christ."
"After the servant of God had been in this country for one and a half years, they returned to his majesty the emperor with some experience of his mandate and a letter from the king's hand, written on Swedes special way."
Swedes writing should have been runes. The emperor now decided persuade the pope to institute a new ärkebis-kopsdöme north of the Elbe with headquarters in Hamburg. From Pope Gregory care received so Ansgar honorable character arch-bishop of the contemporary world's northern suburbs. The Pope also made Ansgar to his own envoy to the wild peoples of the north.
Ansgar's life was full of difficulties and he was constantly reckon with adversity. In 845 AD attacked example, a large Viking fleet Hamburg and put both the castle and the city in ashes. Ansgar managed at the last moment to save himself away with the church's sacred relics.
Several books, including a beautifully written Bible, the emperor's personal gift, went up in smoke along with the new church and monastery.
Although Birka captain Hergeir baptized, brought the little mission station on the island in Lake Mälaren a difficult existence. Already after a few years was driven out the priests. At the end of his life was, however, Ansgar returned to Birka, probably one of the years 851-854 AD. The king received the missionary with joy but it required official lot, to Christ emitted approved. Out in the open field and facing the king gathered the chiefs executed the draw, the first known in Swedish history. The lot fell to the Germans' advantage. Erimbert was appointed priest of the place and Ansgar returned to Germany and Bremen, his new diocese city.
During the end of his long life Ansgar got a very big and serious problem to contend with. For modern man it seems the whole incomprehensible. Swedish missionaries did not die a natural death! When, therefore, he suffered a severe illness, he was gloomy because he:
"Had believed that he would die as a martyr rather than a disease º and thought that it was because of him and his visions, he through his own fault, so to speak, had been cheated out of what he probably hoped for. º This sad he confided in his complaint faithful disciple, who was his confidant in almost all matters. He eagerly tried to comfort Ansgar and stressed that he had not been promised that he would be killed by the sword or burned at the stake or drowned but that he would come to the Lord with a martyr's crown. But Ansgar refused to be comforted by it. "
Poor Ansgar! Most of his life he resided in the people who lived in the world's suburbs without being beaten to death. Instead, he was stating his spirit with his Christian friends in Bremen in the morning after Marie kyrkogångsdag year 865 AD.
It is also in Bremen Cathedral we find his tomb. A modern, white stone slab in the floor reminiscent of the missionary. The plate with the text "Ansgar 865" it is not many people who can see, it is now half hidden by a modern church bench.
When vikings of Denmark stormed Birka
It happened on the 800's that a Swedish king in exile managed to collect his people in Denmark to make an attack on Birka. The king called Anund and with 32 warships sailed into Lake Mälaren. The attack on the market town came suddenly and centurion Hergeir with all merchants took refuge in the castle near the city. Through negotiations, they bought their way out of a hundred pounds of silver, which King Anund greedily accepted.
The Danes, however, was not at all happy with this little merit, for they said:
"Every merchant, which was more than they had offered them and in no way could find themselves in such insolence."
It was decided, therefore, to storm and pillage the castle again. The supporters became discouraged and began to sacrifice to their idols. Hergeir, who baptized in Christianity, became furious. His powerful voice cursed defenders believe:
"How long will you continue to serve the devils and make yourselves penniless at your own destruction with these meaningless promises? Now you have already sacrificed much and promised even more. In addition, you have given away a hundred pounds of silver. What have you enjoyed the advantage of it? Now they come and pillaging everything you own. Your wives and children, they will haul away captive, castle and town, they will be set on fire and you will die by the sword. What are your words for the benefit of these idols? "
Hergeirs speech aroused horror and most of the trapped promised to serve Christ. Miracle were not long in coming. King Anund had begun negotiations with the Danes, and it was determined that lot, would determine the fate of Birka. And see, by God's influence went destiny birka residents road. The Danes sailed and King Anund reconciled themselves to their compatriots.
How much is truth of this story, taken directly from Rimberts almost contemporary Ansgar Story? Although the Christian god's intervention rather be counted as a good moral history, the Danish attack very well have taken place. And in the southern part of the city area is still today the remains of a fort.
Its Further, there are two different stories which one is written by the church and the other by the Vikings themselves how they went and took revenge by pillaging, raping and burning down of the countries and attack the church and kings who had become Christians who threatened them, their culture and faith.
The cronicle of the Russian monk Nestor tells the story of how the swedish vikings came there of the Rurich of Birka and created what now today is known as Russia asked by their finnish Rurichian kins to help them to create peace and law and order in their lands.
Many Findings has latley by archelogists discoverd the ancestors of the Rurich Normans that conquerd the lands of Europe and became the rulers of all Europes empires eventually and as their cousin houses they ruled the lands together to have ultimate power of Europe, their decendants short and longdistant still still lives today and are of the REAL ancient royal family blood of Europes of ALL noble houses and they can tell the true story how all came to be and their own familyhistory and most of them that knows who they are today are also the Enlightend ones/ The illumintaed people/The shining ones that knows that to be an royal decent is not more then to be of the ONE, because we are all one and it was the society of hierarky and rank and the one that went to be a clanleader/cheiftain over his people which all was kins was later also called the king over his people. He had the man of enlightenment, the man of wisdom/enlightenment of the creation and all things, He was a clan cheiftain and knew about the universe and all things created.

An wise man, an reason why he gotten the task to lead the people because of his wisdom. He was The LORD.
